Why write about film photography in detail?

Because most couples have never hired a film photographer and reasonably want to know what changes. Explaining the process is more useful than asking anybody to take it on trust.

Can I see a full wedding gallery rather than a highlights set?

Yes. Ask when you enquire and a complete gallery can be shared, which shows consistency across a whole day.

Demi and Matt kept things simple and headed to Lake Como for a day that felt more like an adventure than a spectacle. They got ready with the lake outside the windows, then exchanged vows on the terrace of the amazing Villa Carlotta with the mountains behind them. No complicated timeline and no rushing just the two of them, a quiet ceremony and a lot of Italian sunshine.

Afterwards we wandered through the villa and gardens before taking a wooden boat - a traditional Vaporina out across the lake at sunnset. The light changed completely once we were on the water: bright and clean at first, then warmer and softer as the sun dropped behind the mountains. It gave us time to make portraits without forcing anything, and time for Demi and Matt to actually enjoy being married.

I photographed the day on digital and analogue film utilising a combination of cinema film stocks and vintage lenses. This mix suited the day perfectly, giving those old school film vibes and dreamy colours that we all love!
